Pause, Yellow, 2021 (TRIPTYCH)

Pause, Yellow, has been created in celebration of the colour yellow, and its symbolism surrounding energy, positivity, optimism, clarity and happiness. The works invite the audience to pause in their day and take heed of the joy that can be found in something as simple as a colour.

The work is produced solely in shades of yellow, layered to create a sense of depth, with darkest shades in the background, moving to brighter shades in the foreground. Thick paint has been applies in short brushstrokes from all angles, giving the work a hightened sense of energy.
