Chaotic Untitled, 2021

Chaotic Untitled features a myriad of colours, from deep greens and blacks to fluorescent orange and bright yellow. Although colour has been applied in vigorous and energetic splashes and strokes, creating a close and impactful layering of colour and texture, a dark base creates obvious depth.

This piece is a diptych framed together closely, and over a background of black and deep green, splashes of interwoven red, orange, yellow, blue, green, white and peach create an energetic buzz of chaotic energy. As with most of Luke’s pieces, the surface is highly textural and the piece can be enjoyed both through touch and sight.
