Two is a Crowd features a diptych joined by frame. The work was painted on two canvases, painted at an easel and consistently rotated, and as such they capture both the movement and energy of Abdallah’s action painting, but also their own movement. Strokes and dabs have been made with small and medium brushes from all sides, and in some sections, these small strokes have overlapped, creating a # or gridding effect. A myriad of colours have been applied at all times, including orange, yellow, turquoise, white, blue, purple and brown.
