Acrylic, cardboard, wood & glue on canvas
46 x 46cm
$200
The primer of the canvas is visible as the backgrounf of this work. The middle and lower sections have been layered with a highly energetic application of varying colours including orange, brown, black, grey and blue, which overlap and blend in areas. Yellow paint has been added to the top third of the canvas, branching vertically down in stripes created through masking. Additionally, there is a large, smooth drip of orange in the upper middle section of the work, layered with stripes of black acrylic.
Thick drops and splatters of paint have been applied and allowed to dry as they have landed, creating interesting, organic linework for the audience to enjoy by touch. Glue has also been added in areas, creating a transparent layer to the piece which can only be enjoyed by engaging physically with the work.
(This work has previously exhibited as part of 'Big Bang' Studio Artes online exhibition Dec 2021)
