This work plays with the use of negative space in order to create a gridded effect on the canvas. Thick, textured brushwork has been utilised to apply and blend a contrasting selection of colours including greens, oranges, blues, reds and yellows, creating an unusual blend of tones, reminiscent of those you might find layered on a forest floor.
