This is a very early work of Luke’s, which demonstrates an experimentation with dabbed brushstrokes. Yellow, blue, magenta, dark purple, cream and dark pink have been added in large, soft edged shapes, overlapping in some areas and created only with thick dabs of the brush. There are areas of white paper still visible between the shapes.
