Produced with Luke’s signature cane painting technique, silver surfer depicts layers of white, grey and silver, all emanating from the bottom, left corner of the canvas. The layers become shorter and shorter, creating a fanning effect, with the shortest layer reaching only a third of the way across the canvas. Drips in the same colours have also been added in layers, creating a busy and animated surface.
