This work begins with a very pale background, a combination of white and lilac added with aerosol. Overlaying this are highly textural sections of bright yellow, added in blobs and drips. Thin white paint strokes have then been layered using a tennis ball added to the base of Luke’s cane, and finally lilac paint drips have been added. The result is a pale but bright and elegant work which invites audiences to explore it’s layers both visually and by touch.
