Glacier is completely white in colour, with shades appearing only through lighting hitting the varied textures of the piece. Luke’s audience is encouraged to touch this work as he wishes for his audience to experience the work in the same way that he does. Luke has utilised a combination of sculpt-a-mold and impasto to create high ridges, using his hands to pinch sections of the fiberous material together, mimicing an arial view of an ice filled landscape.
