This work has been made through painting four triangular canvases seperately, and joining them together to create the shape of a half pinwheel. Three of the panels have a flat, black background. Two of these panels have then been splattered with bright, shiny gold, and the fourth has been splattered with black paint. The third panel is the inverse - a shiny gold background has been topped with splatters of matte, black paint.
