The work Carousel exhibits an extreme vibrancy of colour - enhanced through consistent and varied combinations of complementary colours. Paint has been added in layers of energetic dabs and short strokes, sometimes in thick sections and sometimes dry-brushed. Pinks and yellows, mustard and turquoise, cool red and green, are examples of complementary colours consistently re-emerging on the canvas.
