The natural surrounds of his back paddock have been an inspiration to Luke, since working in his home studio in Kenthurst.

Here we have layered colours from the landscape – 

bright blues for the sky and water, whites and silvers for clouds and reflections,

dark greens for thick bushland,

mid greens for grass and paddocks,

and soft purple for flowers like lavender and jacarandas.
